2025 ADVOCATE RELAY RUNNERS
Who They Are:
Advocate Runners are the heart of our cause—runners who use their miles to fuel something bigger than themselves. They run with purpose, turning every step into a statement for mental health awareness and suicide prevention. More than participants, they are storytellers, fundraisers, and community builders who inspire action through movement.
Why “Advocate” Runners?
At Say Less Projects, we believe in the art of doing something about it. An advocate isn’t just someone who believes in a cause—they take action. Our Advocate Runners don’t just run; they raise awareness, spark conversations, and push for change. Their commitment embodies our mission: to inspire action and possibility through shared stories.
Advocate Runners don’t just cross finish lines; they break barriers. They show the world that action, no matter how small, can create a ripple effect of hope and change. Every step counts. Every story matters.
Run with purpose. Advocate for change.
What They Do:
• Run with Purpose: Whether training for a race or running in our annual relay run, every mile they cover is in honor of those affected by mental health challenges.
• Raise Awareness: They use their platforms to spread the message, sharing personal stories and engaging their communities in the conversation.
• Fundraise for Impact: The funds they raise directly support our mission—covering relay runs, relay logistics, community events, race entry fees, donations to partnering charities, and storytelling efforts that inspire hope and resilience.
Partnering for Prevention: Our Support for AFSP
Why We Support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP):
At Say Less Projects, our mission is rooted in mental health awareness and suicide prevention. That’s why we donate a portion of our relay run support funds to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
AFSP leads the way in funding scientific research, educating communities, advocating for better mental health policies, and supporting those affected by suicide. Their work directly aligns with our purpose: to inspire action, connection, and hope.
In Year 1, we donated over $4,100 to AFSP through our relay. Our founder also raised over $2,000 running the Chicago Marathon with AFSP in 2021. This partnership is personal—and it’s just the beginning.
