Mimi Smith is running to raise $1,000 for this year’s relay run from Dallas to Austin during Mental Health Awareness Month to promote mental health awareness and support efforts to prevent suicide. As a lifelong athlete and physical therapist, she understands the complexities of mental health and wants to help foster conversations around its connection to movement. She has seen how body image, self-doubt, and mental health struggles impact both herself and those around her, and she believes this relay is an opportunity to highlight both the challenges and the strength found in community support.
